A great day of music in Tompkins Square Park. The show began with acoustic performances from members of Dog That Bites Everyone and other bands like Wood Spider, Apocalypse Five and Dime and Morgan O’Kane. Between bands the Rude Mechanical Orchestra took over and filled the park with their boisterous and rhythmic marching tunes. Reverend Billy and The Church of Not Shopping spread the gospel before World/Inferno Friendship Society took the stage and closed out the show with an amazingly theatrical set!

We rolled out our full PA system for NYC’s most rocking cover band, Roctopus, who played a benefit show to hundreds of people at the Bowery Hotel.

The Energy rocked the stage at the Spartan Race in Staten Island, NY. They got the race’s participants pumped up with some rockin’ tunes!

We did an 8 track live recording for singer Violette and her band at Club Drom on the LES. She’s a great soulful singer and it was awesome being a part of her record release party!

We traveled down to Atlantic City with our full JBL PA System to setup and do live sound for the Energy (Brooklyn, NY) and the local band, SoundScapes, from Ventnor, NJ. It was a beautiful day for an outdoor show and the first live band performance in 35 years on the Steel Pier!! Check out some more cool pictures of SoundScape here.

We did a live recording for NYC punk band, World War IX, at Brooklyn’s Trash Bar on Friday night. All tracks are going towards a live album for the band. Our friends at Danny Sreams Studios will be mixing the tracks…I’ll be dropping the tracks off this week. Check back to hear some mixes soon!!

Wombat Audio worked alongside board members of WWO Matthew Blesso, Dr. Jane Aronson and special guest, Amy Poehler, at the June 2011 WWO Fundraiser. A very special event with lots of impromptu performance art and great bands like The Energy. The event was a huge success and raised over $15,000!!
